New Publication:
”Japanese Culture as Metaphor ”
Now Available on Kindle

We are pleased to announce the publication of “Japanese Culture as Metaphor — The Structural Origins of CST Design,” now available on Amazon Kindle.

This book extracts nine structural principles from centuries of Japanese cultural practice — archery, sword-making, tatara ironwork, tea ceremony, garden design, and more — and reformulates them as design principles applicable to modern organizations.

The core proposition is drawn from CST Design (Condition–Synchronization Theory), the organizational design framework developed by WANOMORI: rather than pursuing results directly, design the conditions from which results emerge.

The book bridges two perspectives: the outsider’s analytical clarity and the insider’s embodied knowledge, developed over half a century of living in Japan and practicing traditional arts including Aikido and Shodo.

Key themes include:

— Nine structural principles extracted from Japanese cultural implementations
— The relationship between environmental constraint and design refinement
— Practical application to leadership, team design, and organizational change
— The theoretical foundation of CST Design and its trans-cultural applicability

WANOMORI also offers experiential seminars based on this framework, combining hands-on cultural practice with contemporary organizational challenges. For seminar inquiries, please contact us through our website.
