Event Report: December 8, 2021

On December 8, 2021, we successfully concluded our lecture event.

“Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu’s Reflections on Takeda Shingen”

This year marks the 500th anniversary of Takeda Shingen’s birth.

The event also coincided with the anniversary of Yanagisawa Yoshiyasu’s passing
and was held at Erinji Temple, which serves as Shingen’s memorial temple and the site of Yoshiyasu’s tomb.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Yoko Miyagawa, a scholar of Japanese classical literature, who shared a wealth of valuable insights during the lecture.。

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Miyagawa for her enlightening talk.

Despite being a weekday, we were overjoyed to see a large number of passionate attendees eager to learn about Yoshiyasu’s thoughts.

The lecture, based on the reprinted and revised edition of Rakushido Nenroku,
provided an exceptionally valuable experience for everyone in attendance, including ourselves.

We would also like to express our deepest appreciation to Erinji Temple’s head priest, Grand Master Shuken Furukawa, the Erinji Temple staff, Yagi Shoten Publishing,
and everyone who contributed to making this event a success.

Lastly, we are deeply grateful to Dr. Miyagawa for summarizing the lecture in written form.
Her article is available on the Yagi Shoten Publishing website:
